Delete it in the app
- Open Loulen on your phone, or sign in at app.getloulen.com.
- Go to the Account tab and tap Edit profile.
- Scroll to the bottom, tap Delete account, type DELETE and confirm.
Your account is deleted right away and you're signed out.
Or ask us to delete it
Email hello@getloulen.com from the address you signed up with and ask us to delete your account. We'll confirm by email and delete it within 30 days.
Delete some data but keep your account
- A bill and everything with it: open the bill in the Bills tab, tap Edit bill, then Delete. Its payment history, notes, confirmation numbers and Bill Vault attachments are deleted with it.
- One attachment: open the bill, find it in Bill Vault and delete it.
- Your payday settings: Account, Payday, then Remove payday.
These take effect right away. Deleted data can stay in encrypted backups for up to 30 days, the same as below.
What's deleted
- Your sign-in, profile, name, email address and profile photo.
- If you're the only member of your household: the household and all of its bills, payment history, notes, confirmation numbers, attachments in Bill Vault, alerts and suggestions.
- Your payday settings.
- If you signed in with Apple, Loulen's access to your Apple ID is revoked.
What's kept
- Shared households: if other people are still in your household, the household's bills and payment history stay with them, because they belong to the household. Your name no longer appears as a member.
- Purchases: records of Premium purchases are kept by Apple or Google and by our purchase processor (RevenueCat) for as long as tax and accounting law requires. Deleting your account doesn't cancel a subscription; cancel it in your App Store or Google Play subscription settings.
- Crash reports: diagnostic reports (Sentry) carry no name or email and expire on their own within 90 days.
- Backups: deleted data can remain in encrypted database backups for up to 30 days before it's overwritten.
